Morbid Anatomy Museum Presents "OPUS HYPNAGOGIA" Curated by Stephen Romano

Mattheew Dutton | Fauna Gomorrah
The Morbid Anatomy Museum presents Opus Hypnagogia: Sacred Spaces of the Visionary and Vernacular, a new exhibition, curated by Stephen Romano. The show's title is inspired by the hypnagogic state, the transitional world between the waking and dreaming planes of consciousness - a space where it is believed creativity flourishes and manifests into existence. The exhibit is a harmonious pairing of contemporary artworks alongside a vast array of ephemera, vernacular photography, folk sculptures, and sacred ancient texts is executed immaculately. An innovative and esoteric testament to the shamanic state and the otherworldly creative process that enlightens an artist's path from vision to conception. With astonishing works by such artists as Kris Kuksi, Charles Dellschau , Martin Wittfooth, William Mortenson, El Gato Chimney, Jel Ena, Caitlin McCormack, and many, many more - this show is a must see and will leave you walking away altered and entranced.
