REFLECTIONS IN ART + CULTURE

Michael Kutsche - Digital Realities

Michael Kutsche is an award-winning German artist based out of Los Angeles, California. He is a self taught multidisciplinary artist who works both in traditional and digital media. His work is best described as an marvelously lifelike portrayal of parallel realities, inhabited by strange characters evocative of film, comics, and the Flemish Renaissance art movement.

Kutsche's distinctive approach of imaginative character creation has led him to become a character designer in Tim Burton’s 2008 adaptation of “Alice in Wonderland”, Disney's “John Carter of Mars”, and Marvel's "Thor" - with his latest creative masterpiece coming from his work in "Oz the Great and Wonderful".
